Hailing from San Leandro, CA. 24-year-old artist Casey Cope makes his way onto the RapReup pages with his latest release “Palm”. Featuring longtime collaborator Big Soda, Casey considers “Palm” the most honest song he has ever written.
The first verse is about feeling stuck in life, being 24 and not making moves with music, still living at home, and feeling generally unaccomplished. It’s hard sharing with people the fact that I have no fans or that I’m losing money doing shows but I have to…being genuine is maybe the biggest part of my music. The second verse is largely about my stance on death (boy, real uplifting shit for a single huh?) I think the purpose of my life is to positively affect as many people as I can, and my means of doing that is music. But I’d like my music to be around forever, much longer than my body is…that’s how you truly affect people.
